Code Detail Pages

Performing a Quick Search or Advanced Search for a code ultimately navigates you to the respective detail page. Each code type (CPT^®, Modifier, ICD-10, etc.) has a detail page that gives you current and often interactive information from sources such as the American Medical Association (AMA), American Hospital Association (AHA), and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS).

The Icon Bar

At the top of each detail page is an icon bar that provides access to additional billing and coding information for the selected code. Each icon corresponds to a code type or code-related detail page. For example, is the icon for CPT/HCPCS modifiers. The icons are relevant to selected code, therefore you may only see a few on some pages, while on others you may see more. If an icon is disabled, then it doesn't apply to the selected code.

Steps

Hover over an icon to see its name in a tooltip.
Click an icon. The detail page opens with information related to your code.

Tip: To return to detail page for your code, click the Code Details icon .

	Anesthesia Codes	Suggested Anesthesia codes for the selected procedure.
	APC Details	Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) codes for the selected procedure.
	BP Catalog Related Codes	View codes in the FinThrive Best Practices (BP) Catalog related to your CPT/HCPCS code.
	CCI Edits	View all component and comprehensive codes, Medicare Unlikely Edits (professional, facility, and DME) potentially impacting this code based on Medicare type, selected version, and date-of-service.
	CDM Master Integration	Click to open a window displaying a list of CDM IDs and hospital names. Click the CDM ID to view the charge code, departments, primary description, and prices from CDM Master®.
	Code Pairs	A list of CPT/HCPCS codes that frequently occur on claims with the selected code from the Standard Analytical File (SAF).
	Concurrent Diagnoses	View a list of diagnosis codes, in decreasing order of frequency, that often occur on the same claim as the selected procedure.
	CPT®/HCPCS Codes	Basic information such as: description, APC code, status indicator, FinThrive notes, revision history, and CPT Guidelines.
	CPT to ICD-9 Procedure/ICD-10 PCS Crosswalk	View CPT codes that are cross-walked to ICD-9 procedure codes and ICD-10 PCS codes.
	CPT to Medical Crosswalk	View CPT codes that are cross-walked to California Medicaid (Medical). Only for users with access to Medical.
	Dr. Z Library Details	View Dr. Z literature related to the selected CPT code.
	E&M Guidelines	View documentation guidelines for billing Evaluation & Management (E&M) codes for 1995 or 1997.
	HAC Details	ICD-10 Hospital Acquired Condition (HAC) codes. View a list of HAC secondary diagnosis codes for the selected ICD-10 code.
	ICD-9 DX Codes	Basic code information such as: description, effective date, code validity, related ICD-10 CM codes, and Browse chapters.
	ICD-9 DX to ICD-10 CM Crosswalk	View ICD-9 DX codes that are crosswalked to ICD-10 CM codes.
	ICD-9 Procedure Codes	Basic code information such as description and related ICD-10 PCS codes.
	ICD-9 Procedure to ICD-10 PCS Crosswalk	View ICD-9 Procedure codes that are crosswalked to ICD-10 PCS codes.
	ICD-10 CM Codes	Basic code information such as: description, history, chapter and section details, notes, ICD-10 Guidelines, usage flags, and AHA Coding Clinics.
	ICD-10 CM to ICD-9 DX Crosswalk	View ICD-10 CM codes crosswalked to ICD-9 DX codes.
	ICD-10 PCS Codes	Basic code details such as: description, section breakdown, usage flags, ICD=10 Guidelines, and related BP Catalog-related codes.
	ICD-10 PCS to ICD-9/CPT Crosswalk	View ICD-10 PCS codes that are crosswalked to ICD-9 or CPT codes.
	Informer Details	View all updates to the selected code, as well as any RVU, MUE, CCI, or IOCE edit changes.
	Medicaid Details	Basic code details such as: description, Medicaid state, Medicaid provider manuals, CPT options, and BP Catalog-related codes.
	Modifiers	List of appropriate modifiers with descriptions and CCI validity based on Medicare type and date-of-service.
	MSDRG Codes	Basic code details such as description, provider, weight, and reimbursement based on facility and date-of-service.
	Pharmaceutical Codes	Basic code information such as: NDC number, strength, dosage name, route name, and ingredients.
	Policies (Chain Link Icon)	Access Local Coverage (LCD), National Coverage (NCD), and DMERC (Durable Medical Equipment Regional Carrier) policies.
	Possible Reportable and Reimbursable Information	View a list with explanations of devices that may be required and/or reimbursable for the code or its APC. Icons with a red device are required code. Icons with a green device are possible codes. Device alerts are date sensitive.
	Referencing Documents	A list of documents containing the selected code, sorted by document type.
	Reimbursement Information	View facility, APC, and physician reimbursement for single and multiple procedures; including relative weight, RVU, lab fee schedules, drug pricing, national charge percentiles, payment status codes, and peer hospital pricing.
	Revenue Codes	List of appropriate revenue codes for the selected CPT/HCPCS code. Revenue codes intended for professional use contain the word Professional in the title.
	Other Icons in the Icon Bar
	Notes	Add, edit, or view clinic or user notes for the selected code. A red check mark indicates that there are notes available.
	Favorites	Click the icon to add the selected code to your list of favorites. Check the box to save to clinic (if available) or user notes. All facility users can view clinic notes.

Main Toolbar Field Descriptions

Each code detail page or code-related topic page contains a toolbar that displays the code that you have searched for, the selected hospital, and some or all of the following icons/buttons:
