ICD-10 CM Codes
The ICD-10 CM Detail page gives you coding and billing details related to the selected ICD-10 CM code. The icon bar gives you access to additional information related to the ICD-10 CM code as well as Notes and Favorites.
Steps to Access the ICD-10 CM Detail Page

Type an ICD-10 CM code into the Search field.

Select the desired hyperlinked code from the ICD-10 CM category.

The ICD-10 CM detail page opens in a new tab.
Note: To make the ICD-10 CM Detail page your default, see Default Code Detail Pages.

The toolbars contain helpful icons and buttons.

The code-related icons in the toolbar represent areas in Knowledge Source that contain information related to the selected code. Hover over each icon to see the name in a tooltip.
- Click an icon and navigate to that detail page.
Note: If the icon is unavailable, there is no respective information for the selected ICD-10 CM code.
- Click
in the icon bar to be navigated back to the ICD-10 CM Detail page.

The following credentials are required to access the ICD-10 CM Education courses:

Procedure

Click
. The Animation Gallery and Diagnostic Coding ICD-10 CM menus display.

Either:

Click the Animation Gallery, or

Hover over the Diagnostic Coding ICD-10 CM menu and select a course.

- The system navigates you to the FinThrive Education interface.
Note: If you are not logged in to FinThrive Education, you are prompted to login first. If you are already logged in, you are navigated directly to the course page.

To launch the course, click the course name next to
in the Lesson section. The course lesson page opens.

Click Enter. The course opens in a new window.

The Chapter, Section, Code, and History sections give you basic information about the selected ICD-10 CM code.
Parent/Child Codes
If the selected ICD-10 CM code is a parent code, there is a list of child codes in the Code Details section. Click each hyperlinked child code to open the detail page in a new tab.
If the selected ICD-10 CM code is a child code, click the hyperlinked code in the Code Details section to open the parent code detail page in a new tab.
