ICD-10 PCS Codes

The ICD-10 PCS detail page gives you comprehensive information about ICD-10 PCS codes.

Access the ICD-10 PCS Detail Page

  1. Type an ICD-10 PCS code into the Search field.
  2. Select the desired hyperlinked code from the ICD-10 PCS category.
  3. The ICD-10 PCS Detail page opens in a new tab.

    Note: To make the ICD-10 PCS Detail page your default, see Default Code Detail Pages.

The toolbars contain many helpful icons and buttons.

The code-related icons in the toolbar represent areas in Knowledge Source that contain information related to the selected code. Hover over each icon to see the name in a tooltip.

  1. Click an icon and navigate to that detail page.

    Note: If the icon is unavailable, there is no respective information for the selected ICD-10 PCS code.

  2. Click in the icon bar to be navigated back to the ICD-10 PCS Detail page.

The following credentials are required to access the ICD-10 PCS Education courses:

  • Edu Animation Gallery User role. Access to the FinThrive Education Animation Gallery.

  • Edu ICD10 PCS Coding User role. Access to the Procedural Coding (PCS) courses in FinThrive Education.

Steps

  1. Click . The Animation Gallery and Coding menus display.

  2. Either:

    • Click the Animation Gallery, or

    • Hover over the Coding menu and select a course.

  3. The system navigates you to the FinThrive Education interface.

    Note: If you are not logged in to FinThrive Education, you are prompted to login first. If you are already logged in, you are navigated directly to the course page.

  4. To launch the course, click the course name next to in the Lesson section. The course lesson page opens.

  5. Click Enter. The course opens in a new window.

The AHA Coding Clinics label displays when there is ICD-10 Coding Clinic information available for the selected ICD-10 PCS code. Click the label to view the Coding Clinics in a new window.

Note: This feature is available for customers who are contracted for ICD-10 Coding Clinics.

The BP Catalog grid displays when the sixth digit of the ICD-10 PCS code falls under the category of Device, Substance, or Technology.

Note: When you print the ICD-10 PCS Detail page, the BP Catalog information is not included in the print out.

The Pharmaceutical grid displays when the sixth digit of the ICD-10 PCS code falls under the category of Device, Substance, or Technology.
