ICD-10 CM to ICD-9 DX Crosswalk

Use this procedure to view the crosswalk between ICD-10 CM and ICD-9 DX.

Note: These crosswalk mappings are based on the General Equivalence Mappings (GEM).

Procedure

1. From an ICD-10 CM code, click the crosswalk button in the toolbar to view a compatible ICD-9 DX code.

2. Under the ICD-9 GEM tab, click on a specific code in the Code column to open a new tab showing detailed ICD-9 DX code information for that code.

Note: When you open the ICD-9 DX detail page, you can click the crosswalk button again to view compatible ICD-10 CM codes. Clicking on a code will open a detailed ICD-10 CM page for that code.
