View a Contract Profile
The View Contract Profile page displays a product summary followed by a list of service types and their reimbursement rates or service type definitions (or both, depending on the selected display option). Using links in the list, you can drill down to more complete definitions or lookup tables.
Use this procedure to view the contract profile.

- Access the View Contract Profile page.
- Select Go To > Contract Research > Contract Profiles. The Contract Profile page opens.
- Select the contract name from the Profiles list. For more information about searching for a contract profile, refer to Select Contract Profile Research Criteria.
- Click Display Profile. The View Contract Profile page opens.
- Review the contract profile.
- Each section of this page includes a Hide/Show feature so that you can hide the sections you don’t need to review and have more room on the screen to view the sections you do want to review. To hide or show a section click the Hide or Show link next to the section.
- You can also hide or show the details for the Exclusions, Pass-Through, Reimbursement, and Stop Loss/Cap sections at the bottom of the page. To hide or show these sections, click the blue title bar.
- The DRG Grouper Information shows the DRG grouper version and the associated rules currently applied to this contract profile. For more information, refer to Edit Contract DRG Grouper.
- To view the PDF image of any documents associated with this contract profile:
- Select the type of image you want to view from the Contract Image(s) list in the Display Options section of the page.
- Click View Image. For more information about viewing document images, refer to View the PDF Contract Image.
- To change your display options for the bottom of the page:
- Select the desired view from the Select Type View list. Your selection determines the level of detail that displays in the Exclusions, Pass-Through, Reimbursement, and Stop Loss/Cap sections. The available options include the following:
- Reimbursement Terms Only
- Service Type Definition Only
- Reimbursement and Definition
- Select the order you want the service types sorted in from the Service Type Order list.
- To save your display options as the default options that display each time you access this page, click Save Settings.
- Select the desired view from the Select Type View list. Your selection determines the level of detail that displays in the Exclusions, Pass-Through, Reimbursement, and Stop Loss/Cap sections. The available options include the following:
- To access any of the additional actions available on this page:
- Click Check In Profile to make the current profile available for other users. Refer to Check Out / Check In a Contract Profile.
- Click Delete Profile to remove the current profile from your facility.
- Click Promote Profile to initiate the promotion process for the current profile. Refer to Promote a Contract Profile.
- Click Copy Profile to copy the current profile to create a new one. Refer to Copy a Contract Profile.
- Click Approve Profile to indicate that you reviewed and approve the current profile.
- Click Analyze Profile to analyze the current profile to determine if it is ready for the next promotion phase. For more information, refer to Edit a Contract Profile.
- Click Reject Profile to indicate that you reviewed and rejected the current profile. For more information, refer to Reject a Contract Profile.
- Click Assoc. Service Types to display the Contract Profile/Service Type Definition Table Association page. For more information, refer to Associate a Service Type Definition Table with a Contract Profile.
- Click Add Service Type to display the Add Service Type Reimbursement page. For more information, refer to Add a Service Type to a Contract Profile.
- Click Research Code to display the Research Code page. For more information, refer to Research a Billing Code.
- Click Submit Document to electronically submit PDF contract document images. For more information, refer to Manage Contract Profile Analysis and Promotion.

AR Cutover Date |
The first date when a claim is eligible for write-downs, if the facility accepts write-down files from FinThrive. The cutover date is set for each contract profile and is based on the facility’s date-type preference—either admit, discharge or submit date. It is entered initially by FinThrive as Admit Date (the default) until otherwise instructed |
Auto Renewal |
Indicates whether the profile is automatically renewed |
Billing Deadline |
The period within which the services must be billed to be eligible for reimbursement |
Claim Type |
The type of claim from which the contracts are repriced, either a UB04 or CMS-1500 |
Contract Facility/Location |
Name of the facility or group of facilities in which the contract profile was created |
Contract Name |
The name of the contract in the system (taken from the request form) |

Ignore Modifiers on CCI Edits |
Option to ignore modifiers when the Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) edits are applied to accounts repriced by the contract profile. This option is only available when the Perform CCI Edits check box is selected. Both the Perform CCI Edits check box and the Ignore Modifiers on CCI Edits check box must be selected to utilize this option. |
Impl. Stage |

Late Payment |
The late payment terms (usually in days), if available |
Late Payment Penalty |
The type of late payment penalty applied to this profile. Options include the following:

Late Payment Percentage |
The percentage used to calculate late payment penalties. For Percentage of Billed Charges penalty types, the value in this field specifies the percentage of billed charges to use as the late payment penalty. For Interest Percentage penalty types, the value in this field specifies the annual interest rate to apply to the days beyond the late float days. When calculating the penalty, the system calculates the daily compound rate based on the annual rate entered in this field. The daily compound rate is multiplied times the number of days beyond the late days and float days combined and then multiplied times the total expected payment. Maximum Appeals |
The maximum number of appeals allowed for a claim. |

Note: This option only displays if it has been requested to display for your facility. |
Coordination of Benefits Settings |

Reprice |
Indicates whether the profile performs COB reprice calculations. If COB is enabled for your facility, the reprice option for both secondary and tertiary payors displays. |

- View History displays a dialog box with the Contract Profile Checkout History for the current profile.
