Promote a Contract Profile
Contract profiles and tables undergo a two-part promotion process in order to become active in Production. For FinThrive users only, promotion to production is available in a single step. The following conditions must be met to promote a contract profile:
- You must be logged in to the facility in which the profile was created.
- The profile must be currently checked out to you. For instructions, refer to Check Out / Check In a Contract Profile.
- The Implementation Stage must be Pre-Production Verification.
- The Implementation Status must be Complete.
- The Active Status must be In-Audit or Contract Modeling.

- Access the Promote Contract Profile page.
- Select Go To > Contract Loading > Contract Profile Management. The Contract Profile Management page opens.
- Right-click a link in the Contract Name column, and select Promote.
Note: The right click feature is only available with IE 11, and may not work as expected with Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers.
-OR-
- From the Edit Contract Profile page, review the details of the profile and click Promote Profile. The Promote Contract Profile page opens.
- Optionally, type an Activation Date.
- Select or clear the Prefer Unpromoted Local Service Types check box.
- As part of the promotion process, the system validates all service types associated with the profile to ensure that each service type has a valid definition in production.
- If you clear this check box, the system verifies that there are valid definitions in production. If valid definitions are found, the contract profile is promoted.
- If you select this check box, the system verifies that there are valid definitions in production, but also confirms whether there are versions of these service type definition tables in an unpromoted status. If it finds unpromoted service type definition tables, the system notifies you of the tables that might need to be promoted and allows you to review them before promoting the contract profile.
- This check box is selected by default.
- Click Promote Profile. The Promote Contract Profile page displays a message with the promotion results.
Manual verification and promotion is required If the corresponding local lookup table was not auto-generated.
- If the promotion was unsuccessful, correct the error(s) on the Contract Profile Maintenance page and repeat the promotion process.

The following table describes the fields on the Promote Contract Profile page. For FinThrive users only, the source information is given for some fields, in the format: “Table.Field.” The URL for this page is con_profile_promote_v2.asp.
