Import a Service Type Definition

When adding definitions to your service type definition table, you may import existing definitions from other tables in your facility or facility group. Use this procedure to import a definition into a service type definition table.

Note: The table must be currently checked out to you. For instructions, refer to Check Out / Check In a Service Type Definition Table.

  1. Access the Import Service Type Definition page.
    • Select Go To > Contract Loading > Service Type Table Management. The Service Type Definition Table Management page opens.
    • From the Check Out Status list, select Checked Out By Me and click Refresh View. The results appear.
    • Click a link in the Service Type Definition column. The Edit Service Type Definition Table page opens.
    • On the Edit Service Type Definition Table page, click Import Definition. The Import Service Type Definition page opens.
  2. Specify the search criteria.
    • Select the Table Location to determine which set of tables you want to access. If you change the default option, you must click Refresh Table List to see the applicable options.
    • Select a Definition Table. Click View Table Definition to display the details of the selected table.
    • Optionally, use the remaining criteria to narrow the list of service types to import.
  3. Click Display Service Types.
  4. Select the service type you want to import. Service types that conflict with a service type in your existing table are not available for import.
  5. Click Import definition.

Complete or partial condition expression included in any service type in the selected service type definition table

Days Expr. Contains

Complete or partial days expression in any service type in the selected service type definition table

Definition Table

Name of the service type definition table from which you want to import service types

Destination Name

Name of the table you are importing to

Effective Dates

Date when the service type definition table is effective

Include Contract Model Tables

Option to allow Contract Modeling tables to be included in the results

Location

Facility in which the service type definition table (you want to import service types into) was created

Patient Type

Patient type assigned to the account: Inpatient/Outpatient

Service Type Name

Complete or partial name of any service type in the selected service type definition table

Table Location

Indicates whether the table is universal or facility-specific, which determines where the table is stored; if facility-specific, indicates the facility

Table Name

Name of the service type definition table into which you want to import service types

Units Expr. Contains

Complete or partial units expression in any service type in the selected service type definition table

Use Only Most Recent Table(s)

Option to include only the most recent tables in the results
