Coding Guidelines Appendices

Added the following AMA CPT Appendices The AMA CPT Appendices are included in the coding manuals and provide additional coding information. to the KnowledgeBase > Coding Guidelines section of Advanced Search.

Steps

  1. Perform an advanced search.

  2. Click the appendix that contains results based on your search. The respective appendix opens in a new tab.

    Hover your mouse over the video to show the playback bar. Click the Expand icon to view the video at full screen.

E&M Chapter Guidelines

We are improving our Evaluation and Management guidelines! Over the next few releases, we are reorganizing the guidelines in the user interface. In this release, we have added E&M chapter and section coding guidelines to the E&M detail page.

  1. Search for a CPT code and go to the detail page.

  2. Click the E&M Guidelines icon . The detail page opens.

  3. Select the Current radial button and click Submit. The page opens displaying chapter and section guidelines for the respective code.
