Add a New Service Type Definition
When adding definitions to your service type definition table, you may create definitions individually from scratch.
Note: The table must be currently checked out to you. For instructions, refer to Check Out / Check In a Service Type Definition Table.

- Access the Edit Service Type Definition Table page.
- Select Go To > Contract Loading > Service Type Table Management. The Service Type Definition Table Management page opens.
- Click a link in the Service Type Definition column. The Edit Service Type Definition Table page opens.
- Click Add New Definition. A blank service type page opens.
- Specify the details of the new service type.
- Type the Name.
If you name the new service type the same as a service type in the Universal table, this new service type replaces the Universal definition for all contract profiles that are linked to this table.
- Type the Rank. You may use the Universal table as a guide when determining the rank of a service type.
- Select the Type:
- Inpatient
- Outpatient
- ER
- Professional Services
- All
- Type the Condition expression.
- Type other expression details as needed.
- Click Add. A message appears when you add a new service type definition successfully.
You may modify any existing service type definition using the Update and Delete buttons (available for each service type).
