View Account Override History

Using various selection criteria, you can research the override history for one or more accounts.

Note: Account overrides will only apply successfully when applied to an account with a processable UB. When the override process attempts to reprice the account, the reprice fails if a processable UB is not found, and the override remains in a pending status.

Use this procedure to view the override history for one or more accounts.

  1. To access the Account Override History page, select Go To > Overrides > Account Override History.
  2. Specify your search criteria, typing values as they apply. For more information about a specific search criteria, refer to the Field Descriptions table below.
    • To view override history for multiple accounts, leave the Account Number field blank and enter a date range in the Entry Date Range fields.
  3. Click View Account Overrides. The list of account overrides displays.
  4. View the account overrides.
  5. To export override history information:
    1. Select either Microsoft Excel or Text File from the Export To list.
      • Select Microsoft Excel to open Excel. You can then work with the data in Excel; for example, to move or delete columns, re-sort or re-format the data.
      • Select Text File to save the data as plain text (with no formatting). Typically, you select this option if Excel is unavailable on your computer or you have Excel version’97 or older.
      • Select the Include Header check box to include a header row in your exported file.
    2. Click Export.

Patient account number (for UB claims) or insured ID (for CMS-1500 claims)

Admit Date

Date of admission for the account

Comment

Comment typed by user who created the override

Date

Date the override was applied

Display

Options for the types of overrides you want to include in the override history results

Entry Date Range

Date range for the entry. A date range is not required if entering an account number.

Export To

Allows you to export the data to a Microsoft Excel or text file

Field Type

The specific field that was overridden on the account

No.

Sequential reference number of the line item

Only Display Latest Override(s) For Account(s)

Option to display only the most recent change per field type within the date range

Origin

The source of the override

Payor Class

Indicates whether this account is for a (P)rimary, (S)econdary, or (T)ertiary payor. This column only displays if Coordination of Benefits (COB) is enabled for your facility. For more information, refer to Coordination of Benefits.

Previous Value

The previous value of the data on the account that has been changed by the override

Reprice Date

Date the override was last applied

Reprice Type

Indicates the reason the claim was repriced separately from other claims for this account. This column also helps to distinguish between multiple claims on an account. For more information about reprice types, refer to Multiple Reimbursement Calculations > Reprice Types.

Same as Latest

Displays Yes if the override value was the same as the value included in the latest reprice

Sort By

Order in which the results are sorted

Time

Time the override was applied

User

Log in ID of the user who applied the override

Value

The override value. The value can be a link to open a related page
