Research Accounts by Account or Claim Number

1. To access the Account Research by Account or Claim Number page, select Go To > Account Research > By Account or Claim Number.
2. Select one of the following options:
   • Click Account to search for accounts by account number.
   • Click Claim to search for accounts by claim number. This option is only available if your facility provides claim numbers.
3. Type the account number or claim number you want to research in the Number field.
4. To limit the date range for your search, type a date range in the Dates of Service From and Dates of Service To.

   You can also click the calendar icon to select a date from a calendar.

5. Click Display Account.

   • If there is only one claim associated with the account number you entered, the Patient Account Audit page opens. For more information, refer to View the Patient Account Audit Page.

   • If there are multiple claims/accounts associated with the account number you entered, you can select the specific account you want to review from the Account Research Results page. For more information, refer to View Account Research by Account or Claim Number Results.

   • If the account you entered is a supplemental billing account, the Supplemental Billing History by Account page opens instead of the Patient Account Audit page. For more information, refer to View Supplemental Billing History by Account.

   • If there were no accounts that matched the account you entered, a message displays that no records were found.
