Procedure Lookup Table
The procedure lookup table serves two purposes:
- Defines service types within an expression. For example, instead of typing:
(RevHas 610 Or RevHas 611 Or RevHas 612 Or RevHas 613)
You may create a lookup table and type:
RevHas (MRI REV)
- Reimburses service types through reimbursement tools:
- Procedure Lookup Table
- Procedure Code Reimbursement
Eligible Code Types
Though it is called a procedure lookup table, various code formats (not just procedure codes) are allowed in the table. The following codes are eligible:
- Revenue
- DRG
- ICD-9
- ICD-10
- CPT4
- HCPC
- HCPCPS
- NDC
- Other
Naming Conventions
Lookup tables differ from service type definition tables in that they are referenced by name only; they are not associated with the contract. FinThrive uses the following conventions to prevent error in lookup table references:
- CAPITAL LETTERS ONLY
- Cannot be named the same as a Universal table
- A CBO level table cannot be named the same as a facility level table
- Descriptive and consistent, in the following order (as each item applies):
- Contract name
- Procedure name
- Procedure description
- Code type
