Procedure Lookup Table

The procedure lookup table serves two purposes:

  • Defines service types within an expression. For example, instead of typing:

(RevHas 610 Or RevHas 611 Or RevHas 612 Or RevHas 613)

You may create a lookup table and type:

RevHas (MRI REV)

  • Reimburses service types through reimbursement tools:
    • Procedure Lookup Table
    • Procedure Code Reimbursement

Eligible Code Types

Though it is called a procedure lookup table, various code formats (not just procedure codes) are allowed in the table. The following codes are eligible:

  • Revenue
  • DRG
  • ICD-9
  • ICD-10
  • CPT4
  • HCPC
  • HCPCPS
  • NDC
  • Other

Naming Conventions

Lookup tables differ from service type definition tables in that they are referenced by name only; they are not associated with the contract. FinThrive uses the following conventions to prevent error in lookup table references:

  • CAPITAL LETTERS ONLY
  • Cannot be named the same as a Universal table
  • A CBO level table cannot be named the same as a facility level table
  • Descriptive and consistent, in the following order (as each item applies):
    • Contract name
    • Procedure name
    • Procedure description
    • Code type
