Manage Imported Denials
The Account Denials (Imported) page allows you to review denials information for a specific account.
Note: This page is only available if your facility has elected to import denials information from FinThrive Denials Management.

- Access the Account Denials (Imported) page.
- Select Go To > Account Research > By Account Number. The Account Research by Account Number page opens.
- Type the account number and click Display Account. The Patient Account Audit page opens.
- Click View Account Denials. The Account Denials (Imported) page opens.
- This link only appears on the Patient Account Audit page if there is denial information associated with the account.
- You can also access the Account Denials (Imported) page from the Assign/Update Collection Information page. For more information about this page, refer to Assign / Update Collection Information.
Note: You can also access the Patient Account Audit page from the Account Worklist where you can include or exclude accounts identified as denials in Denial Management. For more information, refer to View the Account Worklist .
- Review the denial information for the account.
- To flag an account, click Flag Account. The Assign/Update Collection Information page opens. For more information refer to Assign / Update Collection Information.
Note: The denial information for all accounts associated with a master account display. For more information about master accounts, refer to Master Accounts.

The following table explains the fields on the Account Denials (Import) page.
For detailed descriptions of the summary sections, refer to the following:
Field | Description |
Denial Date | Date the denial was generated by the payor |
Discharge Date | Date patient was discharged |
Type | Type of denial, such as a formal denial, underpayment, zero payment, claim rejection, and so on Note: The denial types that are available are defined by your facility. |
Status | Current status of the denial, indicating whether it is a potential denial, active denial, pending payor action, and so on Note: The denial statuses that are available are defined by your facility. |
Plan ID | Plan ID of the insurance product |
Amount | Total denied amount for active denials as of the latest date |

- Account Audit displays the Patient Account Audit page. For more information, refer to View the Patient Account Audit Page .
- View Supplemental Billing History (if applicable to your facility) displays the Supplemental Billing History by Account page. For more information, refer to Specify Supplemental Billing Account Research Criteria.
- Add Reminder displays the Add/Update Reminder page. For more information, refer to Add or Update a Reminder.
- Add Communication Log Item displays the Add Item page. For more information, refer to Add a Communication Item. This link only displays if your facility is not using the Community Portal to create new communication items.
