Reporting Service Type Templates

When modeling across multiple facilities, the service types that you want to analyze might not be identical in all of the facilities included in your model. You might also encounter situations where current service types are changing so that the current service types do not match the proposed service types exactly. For example, you might have an All IP service type that is being broken down in the proposed contract to ICU, MedSurg, NICU, and so on.

To create meaningful reports from your model, it is important that all of the modeled service types are represented in the report. To accomplish this, you must create one contract at the facility group level that includes all of the service types you want to include in your reports. When creating your model, you can select this facility group contract as your reporting service type template.

When creating a facility group contract to be used as a reporting template, it is not necessary to include all of the rate information and other service type details. The contract simply has to list each service type as they appear in each contract. It is also not necessary to create all of the service types in your facility or even in a specific contract. You just need to include those service types you want to include in your contract modeling reports.
