Implementation Stages

FinThrive divides the implementation process into stages, each having a number of possible statuses. FinThrive personnel indicate in Contract Manager what the status of a contract is in each implementation stage as they work on a contract. This informs all concerned parties about the progress of hundreds of contracts throughout the implementation process.

The following table explains each implementation stage.

Stage

Description

FinThrive / ECL Audit

A FinThrive auditor verifies the contract against claims data. ECL (external contract loading) is applicable to authorized users only

Analysis Audit

The auditor runs the second or multiple reprice job(s)

Analysis Reprice

The account representative runs a second or multiple reprice job(s) to check the corrected setup

Client Audit

The facility validates system definitions and output for accuracy

Contract Analysis

The contract analyst reviews and corrects rejected contracts

Contract Loading

An analyst creates the contract profile (the electronic version of the contract) in Contract Manager. This requires the entry of service type definitions, reimbursement rates, DRG, CPT, ASC and other reference tables in the database. The terms and conditions are also entered

Future Contracts

A contract profile “placeholder” that lists rates with a future effective date

Preliminary Analysis

The contract analyst analyzes service types and reimbursement rates, evaluates the complexity of the terms and conditions, reviews rate schedules, determines if additional information is needed, and works through the senior analyst or assignee to resolve interpretation issues

Preliminary Reprice

An analyst runs the first reprice job and determines the accuracy of the contract against claims data

Preproduction Verification

A final verification run before the contract goes into production

Production Copy/Testing

The contract is reviewed and labeled, then scanned and bookmarked. The contract is then converted to a PDF (portable document format) image and the Terms and Conditions (TAC) document is initiated in Contract Manager.

Ready for Production

Customer approved the system output and FinThrive is ready to put contracts into production
