Service Type Definition Tables

A service type is a service rendered by the facility and named in the contract. Service types are defined by service type definitions and contained in service type definition tables, which allow you to organize service types based on a facility or specific contract.

A service type definition identifies the codes associated with that service, and is what allows a claim to match to a contract to calculate the reimbursement amount. FinThrive uses a Universal service type definition table that lists each label as well as the definition of that service type. Service Types are added if they are specific to the facility or specific to a contract.
