Update Product Matches
Use this procedure to update product matches.

- Access the Update Product Matches page.
- Select Go To > Contract Maintenance > Product Maintenance. The Product Maintenance page opens.
- Select a product from the Product list, and then click Display Products.
- Click Update Product Matches. The Update Product Matches page opens.
- To update one or more product match records for the desired fields, click the check box next to each field you want to include, and type the desired values in those fields.
- Click the check boxes for all the product matches you want to update on the lower portion of the screen. Click the Select All check box to select all the product matches on the list.
- Click Update Product Matches. The Update was successful! message appears.
- Optionally, you can perform the following tasks while on this page:
- Click Clear to remove all data from the fields.
- Click Product Maintenance to add, edit, view, and delete the products and product matches. For more information, refer to Maintain Products and Product Matches.

Effective Date | Effective date for the product |
Employer Name | Name of the employer associated with the product |
Financial Class | Financial class code |
GA Non-Covered Transaction Code | Medicare transaction code used to identify the discount amount and the amount of non-covered charges to be billed to the patient. MEDICARE ONLY |
GL Code | General ledger code; identified the specific account to which a payment or discount is posted; this is a required field |
GY Non-Covered Transaction Code | Medicare transaction code used to identify the amount of non-covered charges for self-administered drugs to be billed to the patient. MEDICARE ONLY |
GZ Non-Covered Transaction Code | Medicare transaction code used to write off the non-covered write-off charges. MEDICARE ONLY |
Hospital Patient Type | Facility-specific patient type assigned to the account |
Hospital Service Type | Service type code |
Insurance Group Number | Group number of the insurance product |
MCR Part-B Inpatient Transaction Code | Transaction code used to cover Medicare Part-B inpatient charges |
MCR Part-B Transaction Code | Transaction code used to cover all other Medicare Part-B charges |

Patient Type | Patient type assigned to the account: Inpatient/Outpatient |
Payor Code | Payor code associated with the product |
Payor Name | Name of the payor |
Product | Name of the insurance product selected |
Provider Number/NPI | Provider’s tax ID number or ten-digit National Provider Identification (NPI) number required on all claims |
Rank | Hierarchy to determine which service type to look at first for a match. Preceding or following spaces are removed from the entered rank value. For example, if the you enter “ 1" or “1 “, the value is treated as “1” to prevent reprice errors. |
Reporting Name | Name for reporting purposes |
Select All | Allows you to select all line items on the list |
Termination Date | Date the contract is no longer effective or is terminated |
Update | Allows you to select specific line items |
User | User ID of the last person to update the product matches |
