Promote a Contract Profile (Batch Promote)
The Contract Profile Promotion page allows authorized users to analyze and promote the selected contract profile, service type definitions, and lookup tables from audit mode to production mode.
- You must have the appropriate access rights to use this page.
- The profile must be currently checked out to you. For instructions, refer to Check Out / Check In a Contract Profile.
- The Active Status must be In-Audit.
Note: This page is in development and it is available to selected users only.

- Access the Promote Contract Profile page.
- Select Go To > Contract Loading > Contract Profile Management. The Contract Profile Management page opens.
- Check out the contract profile.
- Select a contract profile and check it out if it is not already checked out to you.
- From the Edit Contract Profile page, review the details of the profile and click Promote. The Contract Promotion page opens.
- Review the contract profile to confirm that it should be promoted.
- You can promote a contract profile only if it is checked out to you.
- Click the profile name to view the contract profile.
- Review the service type definitions available for promotion.
- Click the service type name to edit that service type definition. For more information, refer to Edit a Service Type Definition Table.
- All of the service type definitions in audit mode for that facility are listed on the page and selected by default, even if they are checked out by another user.
– Indicates that the service type definition is checked out by another user.
- Clear any service type definitions that you do not want to promote.
– Indicates that there is a version of the Provider Specialty Table already in production with an effective date on or before the effective date of contract profile.
You can only exclude a service type definition from promotion if there is already a version of that definition in production.
- Review the lookup tables available for promotion.
- Click the lookup table name to edit that lookup table. For more information, refer to Edit a Lookup Table.
- The following local lookup table types included in a Reimbursement Term defined in the contract profile in audit mode for that facility are listed on the page and selected by default.
- APC
- DRG Weight
- Modifier
- Procedure Lookup
- Provider Specialty
– Indicates that the lookup table is checked out by another user.
- Clear any lookup tables that you do not want to promote.
– Indicates that there is a version of the Provider Specialty Table already in production with an effective date on or before the effective date of contract profile.
You can only exclude a lookup table from promotion if there is already a version of that lookup table in production.
- Click Promote.
A message displays if there are no lookup tables available for promotion, or if an issue is found when promoting a lookup table.

The following table describes the fields on the Contract Profile Promotion page.

Contract Profile | |
Profile Facility | The name of the facility or group of facilities in which the contract profile was created. |
Active Status | The contract profile status. |
Activation Date | The date the contract is available for processing. If a contract profile was changed, you might see multiple activation dates |
Effective Date | The effective date of the current contract rates. |
AR Cutover Date | The date when FinThrive begins sending write-downs for a contract. |
AR Cutover Claim Type | The type of date considered for the AR cutover date. Options include the following:

Implementation Stage | The current implementation stage of the profile. |
Implementation Status | The current implementation status; progression within the current implementation stage. |
Service Type Definitions | |
Name | The name of the service type definition. Note: Click the name to edit that service type definition. |
Effective Date | The date when the service type definition is effective. |
Activation Date | The date when the service type definition is available for use in claims processing (repricing). |
Facility | The facility in which the service when the service type definition is located. |
Checked Out By | The name of the user who has checked out the service type definition. |
Lookup Tables | |
Name | The name of the lookup table. The lookup tables are listed in by table type and table name in ascending order. Note: Click the name to edit that lookup table. |
Effective Date | The date when the lookup table is effective. |
Activation Date | The date when the lookup table is available for use in claims processing (repricing). |
Type | The lookup table type. For more information, refer to Lookup Table Types. |
Facility | The facility in which the service when the service type definition is located. |
Checked Out By | The name of the user who has checked out the lookup table. |
