Specify Worklist Export Options

Use this procedure to export data from the Master Account Worklist or Payor Worklist to a Microsoft Excel® worksheet or plain text file. The amount of time it takes to export data depends on the number of records in the file. The export limit is 30,000 records.

  • This procedure explains the step-by-step process of exporting data for a Master Account or Payor Worklist. For more information about exporting an Account Worklist, refer to Specify Account Worklist Export Options.
  • The Payor Worklist is only available if Coordination of Benefits (COB) is enabled for your facility. For more information about COB, refer to Coordination of Benefits.

Procedure

  1. Access the Worklist Export Options page:
    • Select Go To > Account Research > from Worklist. The Account Research from Worklist page opens.
    • From the Task list, select Create Master Account Worklist or Create Payor Worklist.
    • Specify other selection criteria and click Display Accounts. The worklist opens. For more information about search criteria, refer to Specify Account Worklist Criteria.
    • Click Export. The Worklist Export Options page opens.
  2. Select one of the following options from the Export to list:
    • Microsoft Excel (*.csv)
    • Microsoft Excel (*.xls)
    • Text File (*.txt)
  3. Select one of the following options from the Export Fields list:
    • Default Fields–includes the same data that is available on the Account Worklist.
    • Default Fields and Patient Name–includes the same data that is available on the Account Worklist plus the patient name for each account.
    • Custom Selection–use to select multiple items. The Custom button appears.
  4. Click Custom. The Select Worklist Fields to Export page opens. For more information, refer to Select Worklist Fields to Export (Master and Payor).
    • Select All Fields to add the Payment Variance, Days Outstanding (if payment is overdue) or Days to Initial Payment (if a payment has been posted).
  5. Click Export. The Exporting. Please wait... message appears.

    The File Download dialog box opens.

  6. To save the exported file to your computer:
    1. Click Save. The Save As window opens.
    2. Navigate to the location to which you want to save the file, and click Save. The Download Complete window opens.
    3. Click Close. If a blank Web page opens, close that page.
  7. To view the exported file in your browser window, click Open. The exported worklist opens.
    • The name of the worklist, Master Account Worklist or Payor Worklist, displays at the top of the page as well as the selected display options. For example, Payor Worklist (One record for Payor).
