Select Exception Worklist Criteria
The Exception Worklist allows you to create a report of claims processing messages either by batch or by claims submission date range. The selection criteria on this page allows you to narrow the scope of the accounts that appear in your worklist. For example, you can narrow your search to claims with a specific message code or to a specific batch file.
Use this procedure to specify the selection criteria for an Exception Worklist.

- To access the Exception Worklist page, select Go To > Processing > Exception Worklist.
- Specify your selection criteria. For more information about a specific field, refer to the Field Description table below.
Note: Typically, replacement and secondary bills are not included in the results, and neither are pre-edited claims (if your facility sends pre- and post-edited claims to FinThrive).
- Click Display Messages. The Exception Worklist Summary page displays a summary of all the accounts that met your criteria. For more information about this page, refer to Review the Exception Worklist Summary.

The following table describes each of the fields on the Exception Worklist criteria page.
Field | Description |
Date Range | Range of dates searched if you selected Claim Submit Date from the Select From list. Selecting a date range grays out the Start Date and End Date fields |
End Date | Last date in the date range of the date type selected. Available only if you selected Claim Submit Date from the Select From list, and did not select a specific number of days in the Date Range field |
Exclusions | Messages to exclude from the search |
Files Processed | List of files you can select from if you selected Claim Batch Files from the Select From drop-down list. A batch name reflects the date claims were processed. For example, MM/DD/YYYY, HH:MM:SS (4 files: LH20525A - LH20528A). This batch name is composed of the date when the batch was imported (in month, day and year format); second, the time of the import to the system (the hour, minute and second); and finally, the file type and the submission date (in year, month and day format) |

Payor code associated with the product You can leave the payor code blank to display results for all payors, or select optional criteria and values |

Start Date | First date in the date range of the date type selected. Available only if you selected Claim Submit Date from the Select From list, and did not select a specific number of days in the Date Range field |
Status | Specifies whether to view the worklist by Claim Status or Account Status. Select Claim Status to display the status of claims that meet the selection criteria; select Account Status to displays the account status for the most recent claim |
